An Elderly Woman in Ghazni Finds Hope for Life

8,000 $ Money Spent

On the night of December 13, 2018, the ancient city of Ghazni located 150 kilometers away from Kabul fell into the hands of Taliban following six-month ongoing conflict between the armed group and government forces in the province. The months-long conflict and the resulting siege of the city caused hundreds of lives and tens of thousands of dollars loss in cash and property.

Bibi Gula, 68 years old widow, lost 16 members of her family and her house to the conflict. She was the only one who survived in the family but did not have hope for life as it seemed very difficult to her without financial and social support from others.

Following a survey of the area by volunteers of EWSSO in the province, Bibi Gula was identified and was assured of possible support. EWSSO then notified its donors and conducted public funding to build her house and provide her with all necessary living equipment.

I lost hope for life. I had no one to help me build my house. I lost all my family members. Ehsas helped me find hope for life again. I am thankful to all those who helped this happen. Said by Bibi Gula

Bibi Gula has a home now and EWSSO will provide her with needed financial support on regular basis. Although she lost a family but in EWSSO she finds another that is ready to help her as much as possible.

EWSSO helped hundreds of other people and families like Bibi Gula to recover from the damage that the conflict caused in Ghazni.
