Orphan Sponsorship
EWSSO provide the following services under this category:
1. Long-term sponsorship: providing monthly education stipend of up to $50 for orphans covering school fee, books and stationery, transport, and some pocket money.
Right now, up to 500 orphans are benefiting from this program.
2. Eid gifts: EWSSO provides Eid gift packages of up to $30 to orphans to let them celebrate the occasion and be happy during the Muslim festival.
3. Orphanages: establishing orphanages to accommodate and educate children who lost their fathers to war or natural disasters in remote areas. EWSSO established an orphanage for the orphans of Jawdara Village in Jalalabad. Jawdara is a small village in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan where bomber killed at least 73 people in a village of just 70 families, a brutal blow in one area of the country’s east where life feels like a slow death.
